18 students qualify to represent Saudi Arabia in Formula 1 at schools in UK

DHAHRAN — King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) Sunday announced that 18 students of various public and private schools have qualified to represent Saudi Arabia in the international Formula 1 competition that will be held in the United Kingdom July 10 with the participation of 54 countries.

Ithra said that the participation went through an intensified training program according to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics program (STEM).

The participants then, in addition, attended several workshops, which included reviewing the models and car designs that simulate Formula 1 at schools, which took place at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran.
