RIYADH — The national campaign for charitable work witnessed in its second year a wide turnout of donors during the first hours of its launch by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).
The campaign has witnessed two generous donations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince. The volume of donations received by the national campaign for charitable work, organized by SDAIA at the headquarters of Ehsan platform, exceeded SR262 million in the first three hours of its launch, an increase of SR50 million over the donations received in the launch of the first version last Ramadan, bringing the total donations received by Ehsan platform to SR1 billion and 745 million.
The second national campaign for charitable work will continue to receive donations from individuals, companies, banks, donors and facilitators, through the platform’s application and website https://ehsan.sa/, in addition to the benefactors’ call center via the number 8001247000. The national campaign for charitable work, in its second year, was launched with two generous donations by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince with an amount of SR50 million apiece.
It will go on allowing the donations of major donors from the private and non-profit sectors, in addition to the participation of all segments of donors from different regions of the Kingdom, motivated and inspired by their wise leadership, the values of generosity, and giving and charity in this holy season.
The national campaign for charitable action was launched in its second edition, via live coverage from the campaign headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Ehsan platform, president of SDAIA and the chairman of the Shariah Committee of the Ehsan Platform, advisor at the Royal Court, member of the Council of Senior Scholars Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Mutlaq.
The success Ehsan platform has achieved is due to the continuous keenness of the Crown Prince to empower and develop the charitable and non-profit sector, raise its efficiency and increase the level of its reliability through a solid digital structure that works according to high governance contributing to achieving the noble goals and lofty purposes of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The campaign's goals are to maximize the impact of the charitable sector. It is worth mentioning that Ehsan platform is monitored by a supervisory committee consisting of 12 government agencies, and a legal committee chaired by the Advisor at the Royal Court and member of the Council of Senior Ulema Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Mutlaq, which has earned the platform its reliability and societal demand for its charitable opportunities, to witness the various charitable fields the wide impact that it was achieved by the donations of charitable people, benefiting more than 4 million and 465,ooo beneficiaries.
