JEDDAH —
Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and advisor to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has handed over documents of the second batch of housing units to Saudi families whose homes were razed under the Jeddah Slums Development Project.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Deputy Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing Eng. Abdullah Al-Badir.

One hundred housing units were allotted to Saudi families as part of the project under which a total of 4,781 families will be provided with new housing by the end of the year 2022.

Prince Khaled Al-Faisal also witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement to provide 2,166 new housing units for beneficiary families in partnership with the National Housing Company. The agreement was signed by Abdul Rahman Al-Taweel, deputy minister for real estate development, and Abdullah Al-Ruwaidan, representative of the company.

Al-Badir thanked Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and Deputy Emir Prince Badr Bin Sultan for their interest and continuous follow-up of the housing and development projects implemented by the ministry in effective partnership with the private sector, in light of the unlimited support that the municipal and housing sectors enjoy from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
