RIYADH — The Directorate of Saudi Civil Defense (DCD) has called on the public to be cautious and prepared based on warnings issued by the National Center of Meteorology of thunder rain over scattered areas of Saudi Arabia as of Wednesday till next Saturday.
The center noted that the regions that will be affected include Riyadh, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawawrah, Al-Bahah, Asir, Jazan, Najran, Al-Qassim, Hail and Al-Sharqiyyah with moderate rain and brisk winds that might lead to flash floods.
DCD Spokesperson Col. Mohammed Al-Hamadai called on the public to be careful of the potential dangers in such weather conditions.
He warned all to stay away from places of floods and commit to the department's regulations announced through various media outlets and social media websites so as to preserve their safety. — SPA
