MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and Prophet’s Holy Mosque has allocated 61 gates for the entry and exit of worshippers, including 17 at the third Saudi expansion, 23 at the King Fahd expansion, 7 at Al-Masaa area and the gate of Ajyad bridge.
This is in addition to allocating 4 gates for emergency services and 10 for services.
About 330 employees participate in organizing the entry and exit of worshippers through certain gates to ensure the flexibility and flow of movement.
Also, 35 praying areas for men and 30 for women were prepared at the second Saudi expansion, in addition to preparing several routes that are allocated to guide the visitors of the Grand Mosque so as to ensure a flexible movement of crowds.
These efforts are exerted upon instructions by President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy mosques Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais in providing all necessary services for worshippers and Umrah performers as part of a plan for the holy month of Ramadan, and offering the best services for visitors of the Grand Mosque according to aspirations of the Saudi leadership. — SPA
