King orders Eid Al-Fitr holidays for students to begin on April 21

JEDDAH —
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman ordered on Tuesday that the Eid Al-Fitr holidays for boy and girl students at all levels of public education and universities would begin at the end of the working day on Thursday, April 21 (Ramadan 20).

The King has issued the directive to reschedule the beginning of the Eid holidays, which were supposed to start from the end of the working day on Monday, April 25 (Ramadan 24) as per the academic calendar.

The decision to prepone the beginning of the Eid holidays has been taken out of the keenness of the King and as per the recommendation of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, to ease the boy and girl students of schools and universities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
