RIYADH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed Monday a joint agreement to implement Zakat Al-Fitr project for the needy people in Yemen, benefiting 26,950 families including 188,650 individuals.

The joint agreement was signed at KSrelief’s headquarters in Riyadh by KSrelief Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmad Bin Ali Al-Baiz.

This comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian aid projects, represented by the KSrelief, to enhance food security for the Yemeni people and contribute to meeting their basic food needs.

KSrelief Monday continued distributing Ramadan food baskets in Aden as part of the Feeding Initiative for the 1443 Hijri year, where 333 food baskets were distributed in Dar Saad District and 154 food baskets in Al-Buraiqeh District, which benefited 2,922 individuals.

This assistance is part of efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to meet the urgent food needs for needy classes in 19 countries around the world during the holy month of Ramadan.

KSrelief also distributed 80.25 tons of Ramadan food baskets to underprivileged families in Al-Mseila and Sayhut Districts in Al-Mahrah governorate, which benefited 4,500 individuals as part of the Ramadan Feeding Initiative for the 1443 Hijri year.

This assistance is an extension of relief and humanitarian efforts that Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, provides to meet the urgent food needs for the needy classes during the holy month of Ramadan. — SPA
