SEOUL — The South Korean authorities announced that they are allowing the entry of Saudi citizens into their lands without the need for a visa, Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in the Korean capital, Seoul, said.

On its official Twitter account, the embassy has clarified that those citizens wishing to visit South Korea can now enter the country without the need to obtain a visa after the Korean authorities lifted the travel ban on the requirement to issue an entry visa.

The embassy clarified that lifting the suspension of citizens’ entry to South Korea will start from May 1, and provided that it is for a maximum of 30 days.

In its statement, the embassy urged Saudi citizens who wish to visit South Korea to follow the required instructions before traveling to the country.

It said that citizens must first enter the K-ETA website: https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do, or download the K-ETA app, and then fill in the required data 72 hours before boarding the plane.

It is also necessary for citizens to enter the Q-CODE website: https://cov19ent.kdca.go.kr/cpassportal/, and to fill out the required data, which also includes attaching a negative result of a PCR test that was conducted within 48 hours before travel, the embassy confirmed, noting the importance of attaching a health passport or vaccination certificate.
