RIYADH — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to expand the relationship with Thailand.

Prince Faisal received on Monday Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai, who’s currently visiting the Kingdom, in Riyadh.

The Saudi minister said he held fruitful talks with his Thai counterpart. They both witnessed the signing of memorandums of understanding between the public and private sectors.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen, develop and raise them to wider horizons in various fields.

They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.

Ties between the Kingdom and Thailand were renewed in January, after Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s visited Riyadh and met with the Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

The visit was the first top leadership meeting between the countries in more than three decades after relations were downgraded in the 1980s.
