RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense has warned the people against the danger of leaving any flammable or explosive products in their cars, in light of the hot weather and high temperatures during summer.

The directorate noted that when temperatures rise, it must be ensured that the vehicle is free from things such as gas canister, cigar lighter, portable charger, phone battery, compressed perfume bottle, and liquid bottle of hand sanitizer.

“All these products may explode, except sterilizers, and subsequently may cause fire in the vehicle,” the directorate said in a statement.
