Saudi deputy defense minister to hold high-level meetings on Washington visit

WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman will discuss a truce in Yemen and the Ukraine crisis with White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan during a visit to Washington on Tuesday, the National Security Council said.

Prince Khalid is visiting Washington this week for security talks with senior White House and Pentagon officials, according to a report from Axios. He will also meet with senior defense and State Department officials.

Prince Khalid, before his current post served as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Washington till 2019. He previously visited Washington in July 2021 to meet senior White House officials. — Agencies
