DAVOS — Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan affirmed the Kingdom’s support for de-escalation in Ukraine to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The two ministers met on the sidelines of their participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday.

During the meeting, they discussed the developments of the crisis in Ukraine.

Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia's support for "everything that contributes to de-escalation, protection of civilians, serious pursuit of political solutions, and all international efforts to resolve the crisis politically."

The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Switzerland Dr. Adel Mirdad and Director General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Daoud.

On Tuesday, Prince Faisal said the Kingdom does not expect an immediate shortage of oil and only a certain shortage of oil products.
