Saudi HRC holds training on how to protect victims of human trafficking

RIYADH — The National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking under the Human Rights Commission (HRC) of Saudi Arabia has conducted a training program targeting relevant departments of the Ministry of Interior and its security wings to identify, interview, protect and assist victims of human trafficking crimes, in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

President of the Human Rights Commission Awwad Al-Awwad, who is also the chairman of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, confirmed that this session came within the framework of the committee's strategy and plans aimed at raising awareness among law enforcers regarding the fight against crimes of trafficking in persons. — SPA
