Plane crashes in Jordan, 2 pilots killed

AMMAN — Two pilots were killed when a Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) airplane crashed on Sunday during training.

The Grob aircraft suffered a technical failure during training that led to its fall into empty land in Ramtha area in Irbid governorate, Jordanian Armed Forces General Command said.

The pilot Bilal Mashhour Ahmed Al Shoufein and Captain Pilot Baha Mohammed Mustafa Abu Ghanmi were killed after they were transferred to King Abdullah University Hospital, Jordan News Agency (Petra) reported.

The General Command expressed deepest condolences to their families, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the deceased with mercy and rest their souls in eternal peace. — Agencies
