CAIRO — The partnership between the Arab League and the Europe is important and vital to achieve mutual goals and to overcome various challenges facing both parties, said the League’s Secretary General Ahmad Aboul-Gheit on Monday.
A statement by the League indicated that this came during a meeting between Aboul-Gheit and Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics.
The two officials discussed ways to enhance relations in all possible spheres and also touched on recent regional and international developments including the crisis in the Ukraine and its negative impact on Arab countries’ food security.
Rinkevics, on his part, informed Aboul-Gheit on the impact of the Russian military assault on Ukraine on the security in the Baltic region. — KUNA
