MADINAH — A total of 147,094 pilgrims from several nationalities have arrived in Madinah until Saturday, They have arrived through air and land crossings to perform this year’s Hajj.

Statistics on arriving and departing pilgrims in Madinah, issued by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, showed that 136,007 pilgrims have arrived through the Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah since receiving the first Hajj flights till Saturday night.

The land immigration center received 11,087 pilgrims who arrived in Madinah through land border crossings.

The statistics also revealed the nationalities of pilgrims staying in Madinah, showing that Indonesian pilgrims are top residents of Madinah with 26,304, followed by Indians with 21,790, Pakistanis with 9,383, Bangladeshis with 8,680 and Iranians with 6,326 pilgrims.

Statistics showed that 49,388 pilgrims left Madinah over the past few days on their way to the Holy Sites in Makkah, where the number of pilgrims staying in Madinah until yesterday totaled 97,690 pilgrims from various nationalities.

Stakeholders in Madinah provide all their potential and field personnel around the clock to keep pace with welcoming pilgrims arriving through the Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the immigration center to receive pilgrims from land borders to perform this year’s Hajj. — SPA
