Crown Prince receives Iraqi PM in Jeddah

JEDDAH — Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, received on Saturday evening the Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.



Iraq’s prime minister arrived at the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on an official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The Iraqi prime minister was also received by the Minister of Commerce Dr. Majed Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi.

Upon his arrival at Al-Salam Royal Palace in Jeddah, the Iraq' prime minister was accorded an official reception on the occasion of his visit to Saudi Arabia, in addition, they held an official session of talks.

During an official discussion, they reviewed the Saudi-Iraqi relations, as well as areas of joint cooperation.

The Crown Prince and the Iraqi Prime Minister also exchanged views on a number of issues that would enhance security and stability in the region.

The discussion was attended by the Minister of the National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media; Khalid Al-Humaidan, Chief of General Intelligence; Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Iraq Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari.

As for the Iraqi side, it was attended by Iraq's Foreign Minister Dr. Fouad Hussein; the National Intelligence Agency agent, Majid Ali Hussein; the Director of the Private Office of the iraqi Prime Minister, Ahmed Najati; the Adviser to the Prime Minister for Protocol Affairs Hassanein Rashid Al-Sheikh.
