MAKKAH — Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that the annual pilgrimage of Hajj disseminates a sublime message of peace, security and tranquility from Makkah to the entire world.
He made the remarks while inaugurating on Sunday the 46th edition of the grand Hajj Symposium with the theme of “Hajj after the pandemic: the ritual and care.”
Addressing the opening session titled “From Hajj to the world,” the minister stressed that it is a great honor for Saudi Arabia to have the opportunity to receive Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors from all over the world.
“The Kingdom works with relentless determination to provide the pilgrims with the best and finest services and capabilities to perform the fifth pillar of Islam in an atmosphere of faith filled by tranquility, safety, comfort and reassurance,” he pointed out.
Al-Rabiah said that the system of the pilgrimage of Hajj, despite the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and the health precautions that were applied has continued during the past two years in serving the pilgrims, under the directives of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, who was keen to establish the fifth pillar without interruption.
The minister said that Saudi Arabia continues providing its services to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims every year through projects that are renewed and develop annually, including the expansion of the Two Holy Mosques and the Holy Sites to facilitate ways and means, and to ensure the ease and comfort of the guests of God.
He looked forward to the pilgrims returning to their homes with a unique experience and a story that he tells with passion after experiencing global human and religious interaction.
Al-Rabiah stated that the Hajj disseminates a sublime message of peace, security and tranquility from Makkah to the entire humanity.
“The responsibility of the relevant authorities within the Hajj system is that the services and experiences faithfully reflect the great religious purposes, and that the pilgrim returns to his country safely and securely after performing his religious duty in ease and comfort,” he added.
