MAKKAH — The first batch of Hajj pilgrims performed on Tuesday Tawaf Al-Ifadah (circumambulation), amid a system of services inside the Grand Mosque.
According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs and other concerned authorities organized the entry of pilgrims to the Grand Holy Mosque through specific doors for each group.
It added that the movement of Tawaf Al-Ifadah around the Holy Kaaba was very smooth.
Since the dawn of the first day of Eid Al-Adha, masses of pilgrims began to perform the rituals of throwing pebbles at Mina holy site by throwing seven consecutive pebbles at a special stone monument called "Jamrat Al-Aqabah".
It added that the movement of pilgrims saw a smooth flow according to the pre-prepared plan.
It pointed out that there were security, health, ambulance, hygiene and civil defense services as well as the security men who organize the movement of pilgrims in the courtyards of Jamarat Bridge and its entrances and exits. — SG
