MUZDALIFAH ‑ The volume of data traffic transferred by the STC network in the Arafat area increased by 40%, compared to Hajj season of 2019, pre-pandemic season, which was the highest one in this regard, and the rate of 5G and 4G networks is 96% of the traffic.
This increase comes in conjunction with the development that this Hajj season witnessed, such as qualitative technologies increase that contributed to enriching the experience of the pilgrim, as the number of 5G network sites increased by 132%.
STC has carried out expansion of work with vital and service sectors by more than 33%, during the Hajj season of this year.
This is in addition to establishing special high-speed departments to connect several international airports in the Kingdom to contribute to the services provided by the Kingdom to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from their countries with ease and tranquility.
The Mission Critical Communications Solution (TETRA), provided by STC to the government and private agencies participating in the Hajj, achieved an abundance rate of 100% to ensure continuity of communication with field teams through the (Miqat) and (Manasik) services.
These services provide immediate communication for critical and emergency cases through secure, encrypted and reliable communication between working teams through 138 sites that provide full coverage of the Hajj areas. — SPA
