Japanese PM, Saudi foreign minister hold talks in Tokyo

TOKYO — Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida received in Tokyo on Tuesday Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, during his official visit to Japan.

Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister, and their wishes of sustained stability and progress to the Prime Minister and the Japanese government and people.

Kishida in turn sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries, ways to develop and strengthen them, and prospects for cooperation in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, in addition to discussing several regional and international issues of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Japan Nayef Al-Fahadi, and the Director-General of Prince Faisal's office, Abdulrahman Al-Daoud. — SPA
