RIYADH — The Houthi militia's allegations that the Arab Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen carried out air strikes in Ad Dali town in Yemen is incorrect, coalition spokesman Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Malki confirmed on Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. Al-Maliki said that the coalition air strikes had stopped since the truce in Yemen had taken effect.

He pointed out that he had been taking all measures to establish the armistice between the Yemeni parties.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed an agreement on July to extend the armistice in the sisterly republic of Yemen, while stressing the importance of opening humanitarian crossings in Taiz.

The ministry commended the efforts of the special envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, to enhance commitment to the current armistice in line with the initiative of Saudi Arabia announced in March 2021 to end the crisis in Yemen and reach a comprehensive political solution to the conflict.

The ministry reiterated the Kingdom's firm support for everything that guarantees the security and stability of Yemen and achieves the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people.
