Egypt exerts efforts to restore clam in Gaza Strip

August 06, 2022

CAIRO — Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi unveiled on Saturday that Egypt was exerting huge efforts to restore calm and peace in Gaza Strip.

Egypt was contacting both Palestinian and Israeli sides for ensuring de-escalation in Gaza Strip and avoid crisis, violence and confrontations, President El-Sisi told the Military Academy students earlier on Saturday.

The Israeli warplanes and drones continued their strikes on several areas across the densely populated Strip for the second day in row.

The ongoing Israel attack on Gaza has claimed the lives of 15 Palestinians, predominantly civilians, and injured at least 140 others so far. — Agencies
