BURAIDAH — Sales at Buraidah Date Festival, organized by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Qassim, exceeded SR62 million in the first seven days of its opening, according to the statistics committee of the festival.
The market received more than 9,000 vehicles loaded with over 3,000 tons of various types of dates.
The festival is witnessing high activity among farmers, consumers and date companies and factories, as consumers prefer festival days to buy dates and store it frozen for consumption during the rest of the year.
Every year, the Buraidah Date Festival witnesses new start-ups in dates marketing and processing industries and a large number of young Saudis join the labor market. — SPA
