KSrelief holds joint meeting with UNHCR and WHO in Poland

WARSAW — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) held Tuesday a joint meeting in Warsaw with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the World Health Organization (WHO), in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Poland Saad Bin Saleh Al-Saleh.

During the meeting, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah praised the strong strategic partnership between the center, UNHCR and the WHO, resulting in humanitarian and relief projects that benefited millions of needy and affected people around the world.

Dr. Al Rabeeah also expressed hope to further expand the cooperation to serve humanitarian and relief work and contribute to alleviating the suffering of refugees, displaced persons and those in need.

Meanwhile, Advisor to the High Commissioner and Regional Representative of the UNHCR Khaled Khalifa praised Saudi Arabia’s support for refugees in various countries of the world.

For her part, WHO Representative for Poland Dr. Paloma Cuchi voiced her gratitude and appreciation to the efforts of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, which had a tangible impact on saving the lives of millions of needy and refugees and meeting their needs.

Discussions during the meeting went over strategic partnership relations and ways to enhance them. A number of issues were also discussed within the framework of joint action, including humanitarian programs and projects targeting refugees and displaced people around the world, as well as supporting the humanitarian response for refugees coming from Ukraine to Poland and neighboring countries.

Cash Enrolment Center

Dr. Al Rabeeah visited the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees’ (UNHCR) cash enrolment center in Warsaw, Poland.

The supervisor general was briefed on the center's work mechanism and the services provided to meet the urgent material needs of refugees coming from Ukraine.

Dr. Al Rabeeah commended the efforts of UNHCR in supporting refugees and displaced persons and alleviating their suffering. — SPA
