RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense has called on the public to be cautious and vigil against potential dangers amid forecast of possible thunderstorms in many regions of the Kingdom from Thursday until Sunday.
Moderate to heavy rain, accompanied by brisk winds, will hit the regions of Asir, Al-Baha, Najran, Jazan, Makkah, Madinah, Hail and Tabuk and this may lead to torrential rains during the period.
Also, parts of Riyadh, Eastern Province and Qassim regions may be affected by moderate rain and that may lead to heavy rain.
The directorate warned everyone to be cautious against potential risks in such an atmosphere, as well as to stay away from dams and places where torrents gather. It also called to abide by the instructions of Civil Defense announced through various media outlets and social networking sites, in order to preserve their safety.
