Saudi Arabia stands in solidarity with Pakistan, offers condolences over victims of floods

RIYADH — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Pakistan, due to the heavy rains, floods and torrential rains that resulted in deaths, injuries and missing persons.

The ministry expressed the Kingdom's sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased and to the Government of Pakistan due to this painful incident, wishing the injured a speedy recovery and those missing would survive.

Millions of people have been affected by floods in Pakistan, hundreds have been killed, and the government has declared a national emergency.

On Friday, the National Disaster Management Authority said more than 900 people had been killed since June - including 34 in the past 24 hours. — SPA
