SRCA enables Saudi detainees in Guantanamo to conduct video calls with their families

RIYADH — The Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) announced that it has enabled the Saudi detainees, who are in Guantanamo prison, to conduct 7 video calls with their families during the month of August.

The SRCA said that its initiative to enable the detainees to contact their families came as a step among several activities within the Restoring Family Links Program.

It confirmed that the Saudi detainees have been able to contact their families via video calls from all regions of Saudi Arabia.

Fifty people from the detainees’ family were able to make the video calls in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah.
