RIYADH Director General of Civil Defense Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Amro honored Saudi citizen Nahi Al-Baqmi for his heroic mission in rescuing members of two families who were trapped in a torrent in Wadi Turbah in the Al-Baha region.

This was in line with the directives of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.

Lt. Gen. Al-Amro handed Al-Baqmi a financial reward in appreciation of his rescue mission during a reception at his office here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the Civil Defense chief praised Al-Baqmi for his humanitarian and patriotic role in rescuing members of the two families and taking them to safety after being trapped in a site that was dangerous for their lives.
