RIYADH —
The Agency of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status announced a new feature enabling the citizens to correct and amend their names in English on their national ID.

Both men and women citizens can now benefit from the service of correcting and amending the written names in English through their accounts on Absher platform.

The Civil Status has clarified the method of benefiting from the service to correct the names in the civil records. It stated that the citizens must enter their accounts on Absher, then submit an electronic request through (Tawasul).

It has noted that the feature requires citizens to submit a copy of their passports.

It is worth mentioning that more than 2,300,000 transactions have been conducted electronically via Absher platform during the month of August.

The most being the issuance and renewal of the residency (Iqama), reaching 648,289.
