The 51st regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council was inaugurated here Monday with the participation of a delegation from Saudi Arabia led by Vice-President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Khayyal.

GENEVA — The 51st regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council was inaugurated here Monday with the participation of a delegation from Saudi Arabia led by Vice-President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Khayyal.

The Saudi delegation took part in the session in the presence of Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Office at Geneva Ambassador Abdulmohsen Bin Majed bin Khothaila, and a number of members of the HRC’s Board.

Al-Khayyal said that the United Nations Human Rights Council plays an active role in promoting human rights principles at the international level, pointing to the Kingdom’s progress and qualitative reforms in all fields in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, especially in the field of development and human rights. — SPA
