MAGELANG — Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan has invited the Singaporean Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong to attend Saudi Arabia's First Islamic Arts Biennale in 2023.

Prince Badr met the Singaporean minister on the sidelines of the G20 cultural ministers meeting in Magelang, Indonesia.

The Saudi minister lauded Singapore's efforts towards art and culture, particularly in digitizing artistic and cultural content and making it accessible for everyone by allowing the local and international community to visit museums and art galleries remotely.

Prince Badr stressed that COVID-19 has proven the importance of digitizing content in today’s virtual world.

The two ministers discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries by opening a door to cooperation with new projects across the cultural field.

These include, hosting bilateral art exhibitions and participation in international cultural festivals and exchange of artistic and practical experiences in the cultural field.
