RIYADH — Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) confirmed that fake and counterfeit goods are prohibited from entering Saudi Arabia.

The authority said that all necessary requirements must be met by the goods.

It has noted that the goods and merchandise coming to Saudi Arabia are not subjected to clearance (Fasah), except after ensuring their safety, alongside to the availability of the clearance requirements on the goods from competent authorities.

The authority’s confirmation came during its response to a person wishing to import goods of lower quality brands, which made him wonder if Saudi Arabia would prevent goods from entering its lands upon their arrival.
