Asharqia, Qatar Chamber discuss investment opportunities

DAMMAM — Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber Bader Al-Reziza and the Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber Mohammed Al-Kuwari discussed Sunday at the Qatar Chamber headquarters in Doha, the promising investment opportunities between the two sides and ways to enhance relations to achieve economic and commercial integration.

Al-Reziza discussed the role of the Saudi-Qatari Coordination Council in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding the partnership between the two countries to broader horizons per the two sides’ national Vision 2030 and supporting the joint Gulf cooperation process.

For his part, Al-Kuwari stressed the importance of achieving growth and development in trade and economic relations to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the two countries.

He added that he is looking forward to strengthening cooperation and opening new channels for effective partnership between companies in the two countries. He also called on the business sector to invest in promising investment opportunities and benefit from the encouraging measures offered by the two countries.

The meeting saw a review of several investment components and the land and air border crossings in the region, which contain 1,845 factories, representing 22% of the total factories in the Kingdom.

Meanwhile, the Asharqia chairman was briefed on the achievements of the development and expansion project at the Salwa border crossing with Qatar, praising the improvements in the project that contribute to raising the port’s capacity, facilitating commercial movement, and raising the level of intra-regional trade between the Kingdom and Qatar. — SPA
