Economic Council reviews performance of Vision 2030 programs

JEDDAH — Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, deputy prime minister and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, chaired on Tuesday the Council's meeting held via video conferencing.

The meeting reviewed several economic and development issues, including a presentation submitted by the Strategic Management Office of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs on the progress of programs to achieve the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in the second quarter of 2022.

The presentation included a comprehensive review of the performance of the programs and the most prominent achievements in accordance with the third level objectives, which witnessed tangible progresss, in addition to a future outlook that includes existing efforts and the main challenges and ways to overcome them.

The Council also discussed a presentation submitted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning regarding the economic developments locally and internationally, and a presentation submitted by the Ministry of Health regarding the health developments related to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Council has taken the necessary recommendations on these issues. — SPA
