RIYADH — The Large Corporate Investments Committee, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, has appointed Abdulaziz Al-Oraifi as CEO of the Private Sector Partnership Reinforcement Program (Shareek).

Al-Oraifi holds a BSc degree in business administration from the Babson College in Massachusetts, USA, and a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University.

He also enjoys leadership and practical expertise in the public and private sectors, where he currently holds the position of advisor at the Secretariat General of the Cabinet, and previously served as assistant minister of transport and logistics services, and CEO of finance at Jadwa Investment.

He also served as director of the treasury at the National Shipping Company (Bahri), in addition to assuming several posts at the Capital Markets Authority and his membership of boards of directors in various sectors.

Shareek program aims to enhance partnership with the private sector and increase the contributions of national companies to the sustainability of the national economy.

The Crown Prince launched the program on March 30, 2021, as part of his efforts to realize economic and development goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to build a vital and prosperous private sector.

The program has a main role in the prosperity and development of the national economy and seeks to support local companies to reach a local investment volume of up to SR5 trillion by 2030.

The program is also envisioned to increase the flexibility of the Saudi economy and provide more jobs for Saudis in all sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. — SPA
