Dr. Al-Rabeeah briefs Lazzarini on Saudi efforts to support Palestinian peoples

NEW YORK — Advisor at the Royal Court and General Supervisor of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah met here Wednesday with Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Philippe Lazzarini, on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York City.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rabeeah briefed Lazzarini on Saudi Arabia's efforts in providing humanitarian aid and support to the Palestinian peoples, which amounted to more than $5 billion, stressing the Kingdom's constant keenness to stand by the Palestinian people and alleviate their suffering.

They discussed ways to enhance cooperation and joint coordination. The two sides also discussed a number of issues of common interest related to the humanitarian and relief field.

Lazzarini valued the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the UNRWA, which contributed to improving the humanitarian conditions of the Palestinian refugees, noting the close partnership between the UNRWA and the KSrelief. — SPA
