Arab ministers affirm need to provide media support to Palestinian cause

CAIRO — The Council of Arab Media Ministers held its 52nd session in Cairo on Thursday.

The Saudi delegation to the meeting was headed by the Kingdom's permanent representative to the Arab League Ambassador Abdul Rahman bin Saeed Al-Juma.

The Council approved the recommendations and proposals issued by the Executive Office at its 15th regular session, including the need to provide media support to the Palestinian cause.

The Council of Arab Media Ministers also recommended the adoption of the report and recommendations of the research seminar on the role of the media in combating terrorism and extremism and the importance of cyber security in addressing the phenomenon of terrorism.

The council also reviewed a number of issues pertaining to the media field among Arab countries. — SPA
