JEDDAH — UN Secretary-General António Guterres lauded Saudi Arabia’s efforts to achieve truce in Yemen and the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to reach a political solution to the Yemeni crisis, during a meeting with Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan.

Prince Faisal met Guterres on Saturday in New York on the sidelines of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

They reviewed aspects of cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the United Nations. They also discussed the latest international developments and efforts to enhance international peace and security.

Kingdom's Permanent Representative to the UN Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, and the Director-General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ office Abdulrahman Al-Daoud also attended the meeting.
