RIYADH — President of the General Court of Audit Dr. Hussam Alangari co-chaired the 15th Meeting of INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee (IDSC) held by teleconference Tuesday with the participation of a number of heads of SAIs and representatives of donor community.

Dr. Alangari inaugurated the IDSC meeting with a speech stressing the importance of support of SAIs independence.

The meeting discussed a number of items on its agenda related to the committee's scope of work, of which are the International Initiative of Accountability in SAIs (GSAI), independence of SAIs, and ways of enhancing support process and coordination in the Committee.

The IDSC is the committee responsible for outlining the strategic orientation of implementing MoUs signed between INTOSAI and 23 donors from the donor community. IDSC aims to provide the needed support to SAIs in developing countries. — SPA
