UAE, Oman leaders hold talks on cementing fraternal ties, economic partnership

MUSCAT President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq held talks in Muscat on Tuesday over building upon fraternal relations and expanding collaboration.

During the meeting on the first day of the UAE President's state visit to the Sultanate of Oman, the two leaders spoke of the historical bonds between the two nations and discussed ways to strengthen these relations further, the UAE news agency (WAM) reported.

Sultan Haitham welcomed Sheikh Mohammad and the UAE delegation, expressing his pleasure about their visit and his pride in the close ties that Oman and the UAE enjoy.

The two leaders discussed opportunities for building upon the growing economic ties between the UAE and Oman and areas where the two nations can increase collaboration, including the investment, financial, industrial and cultural sectors.

They shared their vision for a secure and stable region that promotes sustainable development and supports a thriving economy where people can realize their full potential.

After the official talks, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed and Sultan Haitham held a one-on-one session. — SG
