Sweden PM thanks Crown Prince for successful role in release of prisoners

JEDDAH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman received a written message from the Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson extending her thanks for his successful role in the process of prisoner exchange related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The Swedish prime minister expressed her appreciation for the role played by the Crown Prince in mediating the exchange of prisoners in the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and the consequent keenness to support all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically, and mitigating its effects.

On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, Waleed Al-Khuraiji, deputy minister of foreign affairs, received the message on Tuesday at the ministry’s headquarters while meeting with the Swedish Ambassador Petra Menander.

During the reception, they discussed bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and ways of enhancing them in various fields, in addition to exchanging views on issues of common interest.
