Crown Prince: Internal self-sufficiency of military industries jumps from 2% to 15%

JEDDAH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman met at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense in Jeddah on Wednesday, Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense, and military commanders.

The Crown Prince expressed his thanks and appreciation for the sincere efforts of the Ministry of Defense personnel and the great progress they have achieved with the implementation of the Ministry's development program, and the increase in the internal self-sufficiency of the military industries from 2% to 15%. He hoped that it will reach 50% under the command and supervision of the Minister of Defense and the Ministry personnel.

Crown Prince also cited his special feelings toward the Ministry of Defense and the period he spent working for it. He praised its performance, work and advanced accomplishments, wishing for further progress under the command of Prince Khalid bin Salman and the cooperation of the Ministry personnel for broader and greater horizons.

For his part, Prince Khalid bin Salman affirmed that the achievements of the Ministry of Defense during its development programs and its achievements in future through continuing to implement its development programs drawn up by the Crown Prince comes under his directives and continuous support.

The event was attended by the commanders of the Ministry of Defense and the commanders of the various armed forces branches. — SPA
