RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has now four memberships in the International Olympic Committee (IOC) commissions, according to the IOC President Thomas Bach.

Bach renewed three Saudi memberships in the International Olympic Committee for the next four years, in addition to granting a new fourth membership to the Kingdom.

Princess Rima Bint Bandar has been granted a new membership in the Sustainability and Legacy Committee. Princess Reema’s memberships in Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the Coordination Committee for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics has been renewed.

The President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal has kept his seat as a member of the Commercial Partnership Committee.

The membership of Prince Fahd Bin Jalawi in the Public Affairs And Corporate Communications has been renewed.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach has appointed an equal number of women and men to the IOC commissions for 2022 for the first time in history.
