DAMMAM — The Saudi national team was reassured to qualify for the finals of Asia Juniors U17 Soccer Championship 2023 after eliminating staunch rivals India 2-1 in a final match within Group 5 at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam on Sunday.

In the second match, which took place at Saud bin Juluwe Stadium in Dammam’s twin city of Al-Khobar, Myanmar crushed the Maldives 7-0.

Accordingly, Saudi Arabia topped Group 5 with a score of 12 points from four matches. India, which collected nine points from four matches, has to wait until the top six national teams of the ten groups of the tournament, were determined. — SPA
