RIYADH — A media delegation from the ministries of defense at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States has visited the General Administration of Strategic Communication at the Saudi Ministry of Defense, as part of exchanging expertise and enhancing joint media cooperation.
Director General of the General Administration of Strategic Communication Abdulrahman bin Sultan Al-Sultan received the delegates and stressed the importance of exchanging visits to enhance joint media action and cooperation and get acquainted with the most important tools and expertise to activate communication among GCC ministries of defense.
Later, the delegation toured various departments of the media center of the Ministry of Defense and listened to an expanded presentation delivered by Al-Sultan on the roles of the center and what it enjoys of technical and human resources used for monitoring, analyzing and creating media content, as well as its achievements in communication work over the past months.
On the sidelines of the visit, the administration organized a media symposium dubbed "Communication in GCC Ministries of Defense", which was attended by the visiting delegation.
The event included three pillars that addressed the concept of strategic communication, the best practices in information processes and some success stories of the Ministry of Defense in strategic communication.
At the end of the visit, the GCC delegates expressed appreciation and gratitude for the administration for allowing them the opportunity to get acquainted with its distinguished experiment. — SPA
