JUBA — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan visited South Sudan on Monday and met South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
President Salva and Prince Faisal discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and international developments.
The Saudi minister also met the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan Mayik Ayii Den, during his official visit.
The two ministers held an official session of talks, during which they reviewed aspects of relations between the Kingdom and South Sudan and ways to strengthen and develop them in all fields, in addition to discussing issues of common interests.
Prince Faisal expressed the Kingdom's thanks and appreciation for South Sudan's support for the Kingdom's candidacy to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh.
The meetings was attended by Assistant Minister of State for African Countries Affairs Ambassador Dr. Sami Al-Saleh, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to South Sudan Ali Bin Hassan Jaffar, and Director-General of the Minister of Foreign Affairs office Abdulrahman Al-Daoud.
