Al-Sawaha-led delegation explores Qatar's technical preparations to host World Cup

DOHA — The delegation of the communications and information technology system, led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Sawaha, explored Wednesday the two technologies of solar cooling and crowd management that were employed at Al-Bayt Stadium in Al-Khor city, Qatar, to host the World Cup matches.

The delegation, which is visiting Qatar with the aim of opening new horizons and fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of technology, innovation and space, in addition to activating the region’s role in the field of digital economy, explored the stadium’s innovative technical capabilities.

During the visit, Qatari Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed Al-Mannai, Qatari Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy Hassan Al-Thawadi, accompanied the delegation. — SPA
