RIYADH — The Saudi-Thai Friendship Committee at the Shoura Council, headed by member of the council Osamah Al-Rabiah, and with the participation of members of the committee, held a virtual meeting with its Thai counterpart.

Al-Rabiah stressed the big role of parliamentary committees in enhancing relations and bridging cooperation, including in fields related to commercial exchange and creating investment opportunities between the two friendly countries.

He also highlighted the significance of facing global environmental and climate challenges facing the region and the world, reviewing the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in developing the infrastructure of vital sectors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as per the Saudi Vision 2030.

Participants of the meeting stressed the importance of exchanging parliamentary visits between the two countries, enhancing communication between the two friendship committees in the two countries’ parliaments, activating visits between the two committees to contribute to enhancing parliamentary ties, and boosting cooperation in various fields.

Discussions during the meeting also went over several issues of mutual interest between the two countries in a bid to contribute to realizing joint interests in miscellaneous fields. — SPA
