RIYADH — Ukraine’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Anatolii Petrenko extended his thanks to the Saudi leadership for humanitarian aid provided to his country.
Petrenko met on Tuesday with the adviser at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of common interest related to humanitarian and relief affairs and ways to enhance them.
The Ukrainian ambassador extended his sincere thanks to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman for the Saudi leadership’s decision to provide an additional $400 million humanitarian aid package to Ukraine.
The ambassador pointed out that this additional aid would contribute to easing the suffering of Ukrainian citizens in light of the crisis that the country is going through.
He also noted what the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, provided urgent medical and shelter aid worth $10 million to refugees from Ukraine to neighboring countries, especially Poland, in coordination with the Polish government and United Nations organizations.
He stressed that the Kingdom has been known throughout its history to stand with the needy and affected countries in various crises and disasters.
